Artistic Director & Tour Choir Director
Jenny Piacente, (formally Jenny Rawson), mezzo-soprano, received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Theory and a Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Georgia, studying under Dr. Lewis Neilson and Dr. Gregory Broughton. Mrs. Piacente’s conducting career includes positions at North Springs High School, a performing arts magnate school in Fulton County, and the Kennesaw Mountain High School Choral Program. For 18 years, Mrs. Piacente has conducted the Greater Atlanta Girls Choir (formerly called the Georgia Regional Girls Choir,) a premier girls choir in North Georgia, which has toured throughout the United States and Europe under her direction, performing in Italy, Spain, Canada, Washington D.C., San Diego, Boston, San Francisco, the Governor’s Mansion and the Biltmore Estate. Mrs. Piacente has been a member and frequent soloist with The Atlanta Singers under the direction of David Brensinger for eighteen years and has had past positions with The Atlanta Symphony Chorus, The Atlanta Symphony Chamber Chorus, and The Robert Shaw Singers under the direction of Robert Shaw. Her enthusiasm is contagious and her high energy, animation, and creativity combine to make GAGC a fun, as well as educational, experience for all the girls.
Apprentice Choir Director
Mallory Jett is a native of Roswell, Georgia and was a member of the Greater Atlanta Girls Choir (formerly Georgia Regional Girls Choir) from 1998-2003. Mrs. Jett attended the University of Georgia as a candidate for a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education where she studied voice with Dr. Gregory Broughton. While at UGA, Mrs. Jett sang, and directed, the award-winning a cappella group: UGA Noteworthy. During her tenure as musical director of this 14 member group, the group placed second in the regional portion of the International Competition for Collegiate A Cappella. They received several recording awards, including Best Female Collegiate Album, from the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards. Mrs. Jett also had the opportunity to perform at a number of venues throughout Germany in Austria with the University of Georgia Concert Choir.
Mrs. Jett graduated cum laude from UGA in 2007 with a degree in Music Education. She has since received her Master’s Degree in Music Education from Piedmont College. Mrs. Jett currently teaches sixth through eighth grade chorus at Holcomb Bridge Middle School in Fulton County.

Linda Green McKenzie
Linda Green McKenzie graduated cum laude from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. She has taught in public schools and served as Director of Music, Accompanist, Handbell Director, Children’s Choir Director/Coordinator, Praise Band Director and Worship Planner at churches in Florida and Georgia. Presently, she is on staff at Sixes United Methodist Church in Canton, Georgia. Linda also teaches private piano lessons and accompanies several high school choirs, district festivals, honor choruses, workshops and Little Theater musicals in North Georgia.
